What every plan includes
According to Bluehost, all plans include a 99.99% uptime SLA, weekly website backups, malware scanning and removal, a free WordPress migration tool, free SSL, the free version of Yoast SEO, AI site creation tools and multi-site management. Chat support is available 24/7 on all three plans.
Guarantees and limits to read
- Uptime SLA: if uptime drops below 99.99%, you can claim one 5% monthly credit within 30 days.
- Money-back guarantee: 30 days. If your plan included a free domain, Bluehost deducts a non-refundable domain fee from the refund. There are no refunds after 30 days.
- Free domain: one free domain for the first year on 12 or 36 month terms. Read the free domain rules.
- Usage policy: plans are meant for personal or small business sites. Bluehost's terms mention limits such as more than 5,000 database tables or more than 10 GB of database usage.
Who it may suit
Based on the published plans, Bluehost's Starter plan is the cheapest way in, but it has no phone support. If you want phone support, the Business plan is the first plan that includes it. Compare the real cost over several years, not just the first term, and look at Hostinger and HostGator too.
