Bluehost Renewal Cost: What Happens After Your First Term?
When your first term ends, Bluehost renews your plan at the regular price, not the promotional one. Bluehost publishes a renewal price list, which it last updated on February 11, 2026. We checked it on November 3, 2026. Bluehost also says to confirm the exact price in your account's Renewal Center.
Shared hosting renewal prices
| Plan | Monthly | 12 months | 36 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $15.99/mo | $11.99/mo | $9.99/mo |
| Business | $20.99/mo | $15.99/mo | $13.99/mo |
| Pro | $24.99/mo | $18.99/mo | $16.99/mo |
| Premium | $29.99/mo | $22.99/mo | $20.99/mo |

| Elite | $37.99/mo | $32.99/mo | $28.99/mo |
| eCommerce Essentials | $32.99/mo | $24.99/mo | $21.99/mo |
For WooCommerce stores, Bluehost lists eCommerce Premium at $38.99 monthly, $33.99 on 12 months and $30.99 on 36 months.
How much higher is renewal?
Compare Bluehost's current 36-month promo price with its 36-month renewal price. The percentages are our own calculation from Bluehost's published figures.
| Plan | Promo (36 months) | Renewal (36 months) | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $3.99/mo | $9.99/mo | About 150% |
| Business | $6.99/mo | $13.99/mo | About 100% |
| eCommerce Essentials | $14.99/mo | $21.99/mo | About 47% |
So the Starter plan costs about two and a half times more per month once the first 36-month term ends.
What else renews
- Your domain. The free first-year domain renews at the then-current rate in your Renewal Center. See Bluehost free domain.
- Add-ons. Optional extras such as Professional Email renew at their own rates. The Pro Email free trial renews at $2.99 per month if you do not cancel.
- Term length. Bluehost renewals use the term length of your original plan unless you change it during renewal, and shorter terms cost more per month.
How to avoid a surprise
Set a reminder before your term ends and open the Renewal Center to see the exact amount. If the price is too high, compare alternatives such as Hostinger and HostGator before you renew. Full plan details are in our Bluehost pricing guide.
